Sun City Slab Leak Checklist

Most Sun City and Sun City West homes were built between 1960 and 1989. The plumbing under those slabs is mostly Type-L copper, often with un-insulated runs that have been rubbing against rebar for fifty years.

Symptoms to watch for

  • Hot spots on the floor — usually the first sign
  • A water meter that ticks even with everything off
  • Unexplained jumps in your water bill
  • The sound of running water when nothing is on

What we do on a service call

  1. Pressure-test the system to confirm a leak exists
  2. Acoustic locate to find it without busting the slab
  3. Discuss spot-repair vs re-route based on access and pipe condition
  4. Coordinate with your insurance and HOA where needed
